The Benefits of Trampoline Workouts
![]() |
One of the most enjoyable ways to get your exercise is with a trampoline. Trampoline workouts are the latest way to get in shape that people of all ages can enjoy. Also known as rebounding, the use of a trampoline for exercise purposes offers lots of great benefits. If you'd like to try rebounding, you will first need the right trampoline. Rebounder trampolines are also known as mini trampolines because they're small, offering enough space for one adult to comfortably stand on. Always choose a trampoline designed especially for exercise purposes.
If you've never had the opportunity to bounced on a trampoline before, you might need a little time to get used to the sensation. When you first get on your rebounder, warm up by simply walking in place. Move your arms back and forth as you normally would on a brisk walk. Your toes should stay in contact with the rebounder at all times. After you've warmed up by walking for a few minutes, it's time to start bouncing! Start off with a soft bounce, then work your way up to a more energetic pace. At first, you might find that it's difficult to stay balanced. With practice, bouncing on your rebounder will become second nature! As you become more accustomed to rebounding, you can work new exercises into your routine. Try jogging in place, or even doing jumping jacks if your rebounder is large enough to accommodate this.
Rebounding for as little as twenty minutes a day, three to four times a week, is all you'll need for a good cardiovascular workout. Not only does rebounding work the heart, it can tone the muscles, stimulate circulation, and improve balance. One of the best things about this type of exercise is that it's so gentle and low-impact. And, it's fun! You can do your workout while enjoying a favorite television show or listening to the radio. If you need to take your rebounder on the road, many of them fold up for easy storage and portability.
Trampoline workouts are a terrific way to get fit. Most gyms and fitness centers are even catching on, offering rebounders and rebounding workout classes. That's another great thing about this type of exercise -- it can be done at the gym or in the privacy of your home. If you're ready to get in shape and have fun doing it, you should definitely consider the use of a trampoline for your workout!
