The Importance of Trampoline Enclosures

Before the days of trampoline enclosures, trampolines had gained a reputation for being dangerous. With good reason. This is because bouncing or falling off of a trampoline can cause serious injury. Thankfully, today's safety nets, also called enclosures, are designed to protect trampoline users from this risk. A safety net keeps bouncers enclosed inside the trampoline area, with no danger of anyone falling or bouncing off. Parents can feel secure letting their kids jump on a trampoline that has a proper net installed. Even with an enclosure, however, children should be supervised when jumping on a trampoline.

There are nets that will fit any size trampoline imaginable. It's most important to choose one that securely fits your trampoline and is tall enough to prevent anyone from bouncing over the top. The cost of an enclosure will depend on where you purchase it and how large it is. Enclosures can be locked to prevent unauthorized access to the trampoline. In addition to its safety uses, an enclosure can be a lot of fun. There are a variety of games and kits that are designed to be used with nets and enclosures.

Another such game is trampoline basketball. The backboard and hoop is attached to the safety net and will offer countless hours of safe activity. Kids and adults alike will love shooting hoops while bouncing on the trampoline! If you've got young children, consider a trampoline tent. They also attach to the enclosure and turn any trampoline into a fun camping tent that's practical and entertaining all at once. Little ones will love climbing into their bouncy secret headquarters or pretending to camp out under the stars. For older kids, bounce boards are ideal. These boards are made for enclosed trampoline use and allow skate and snow boarders to practice their tricks and moves in a safe, fun environment.

In addition to trampoline enclosures, there are many other items you may want to increase the safety margin and quality of your trampoline. If you've got pets or small children, you should definitely get an enclosure for the bottom of your trampoline as well. This prevents kids or pets from crawling under the trampoline and getting injured. You might also want to keep some other accessories, such as replacement springs, on hand. Springs should be inspected every now and then to make sure they're not broken, worn, stretched or rusted.
