Selecting an Exercise Trampoline

Many people automatically associate trampolines with children, but did you know they're also great for adults as well? It's true! With a good quality exercise trampoline, you can burn fat and have fun at the same time! Trampolines that are especially designed for exercise use are called rebounders, and differ a bit from the traditional trampoline. The first and most recognizable difference is the size. Rebounders, also known as mini-trampolines, are only big enough to accommodate one adult. They are round in size, and are used by jogging or bouncing on them, also known as rebounding.
Rebounders offer a great many benefits that you can't always find with the more traditional exercise equipment. Bouncing on one of these little trampolines for only twenty minutes a day, three to four times each week, can improve fitness levels. Rebounding stimulates the body's metabolism, tones the muscles, works the heart and even improves coordination. It's gentle on the joints and is classified as a low-impact form of cardiovascular exercise. And, this type of exercise is not just great for adults, but kids as well. It's a fun and enjoyable way to get the exercise you need. As you're probably already aware, it's easier to stick with an exercise routine you actually enjoy doing!
Another wonderful thing about using a rebounder is the convenience. Because most rebounders are quite small, they can be used in most any room of your home. They don't require much space, and some can even be folded up for easy storage. They're also lightweight and easily portable. This means you can enjoy a fun and effective workout anytime, anywhere. Price is yet another benefit. Most mini trampolines and rebounders are quite affordable, especially when compared to other pieces of home gym equipment. You can usually find a decent rebounder made for exercise for about $100 depending on where you shop and the model you choose.
When shopping around for a rebounder, you'll want to purchase the best quality model that you can afford. Make sure that the springs are strong and the material is durable. You don't want a rebounder that falls apart after a few uses. It's important to choose one that is made for exercise purposes. You can find a wide variety of exercise trampoline choices in sporting goods stores, variety stores and even online. Now that you know more about getting fit with a trampoline, don't delay -- start bouncing your way to fitness!
